Important Information for Participating Youth

Attire

Trek attire examples
Young Men
  • Button down, long sleeve shirts
  • Long pants – NOT LEVI’S
  • Suspenders (optional)
  • Wide-brimmed hat
  • Sturdy shoes
  • Wool socks
  • Bandana

 

 

Young Women

  • Long sleeve shirts with long & full skirts OR Long sleeve, full length
  • dresses
  • Apron (half or full)
  • Bloomers or pants for underneath
  • Bonnet or straw hat
  • Sturdy shoes
  • Wool socks
  • Bandana

Transportation

Pre-trek Drop-off (March 15):

  • Prepare to stay overnight March 16th and 17th.
  • Drop off gear and meet your group on Wednesday, March 15 from 6:00-8:30 pm at the stake center.
Getting to Trek (March 16):
  • Youth and trek leaders will transport by carpool to the LBJ Grasslands (about 45 minutes away). 
  • Contact your ward leaders for your designated meeting spot – meet at 7:30 am on Thursday, March 16.

Post-trek Pick-up (March 18):

  • Pick up will be on Saturday, March 18th at 4:00 pm at the same location as drop off at LBJ Grasslands. 
  • Youth will arrive at the Stake Center by 5:00 pm where parents can pick up their youth and gear.
